ComponentOwl.com announces the release of Better ListView 2.0, which introduces hierarchical items support, customizable item grouping, complex data-binding, and other new features.

Better ListView is a .NET WinForms component for C#, VB.net and managed C++. It was designed to be the much needed replacement for the regular List View control supplied with .NET, without its inherent limitations. Compared to the regular List View, Better ListView is enhanced with broader customization options, flexibility, a richer feature set, and a native look and feel.

Version 2.0 adds new major features not present in the regular List View, including Item hierarchy support that allows developers to create tree-list structures in the List View, without having to sacrifice any of List View?s functionality (columns, sorting, grouping, Drag and Drop reordering, etc.) The new version also adds complex data-binding with custom column-mapping and new grouping capabilities allowing for the customization of individual group headers. Group headers can be made collapsible and focusable; moreover, they can display images and a context menu.

PowerMockup 2.0 Released – Rapid Wireframing Plugin for PowerPoint

MUNSTER, GERMANY, July 6, 2011: Wulfsoft is announcing the release of version 2.0 of PowerMockup, a tool for rapidly sketching user interfaces of websites and software applications. Following the old adage that a picture is worth a thousand words, PowerMockup helps developers, designers and managers to bring form to design ideas and make concepts tangible. The screen sketches created with PowerMockup provide stakeholders with a clear representation of the proposed solution. This enables design flaws and misunderstandings to be revealed early, before they are implemented in code and become expensive to correct.

PowerMockup works as a plugin for Microsoft PowerPoint, making it easy to use in a familiar environment. It extends PowerPoint with a stencil library of 79 typical user interface elements (buttons, text boxes, menus, tabs, tables, etc.) and 86 wireframe icons. Adding a stencil to a design is just a matter of dragging it from the library onto the current slide. Using PowerPoint´s built-in slideshow functionality, it´s possible to link different sketches together to produce a clickable prototype for demonstrating the application flow.
